Community Etiquette

  • Both Shoreline & Edmonds lobbies open 15 minutes prior to each class.
  • Before your first class, please arrive at the studio 15 minutes early.
  • For all classes, plan to arrive 10 minutes early and stay until the end of class.
  • Please be on time. For safety reasons, it is our policy to lock the door at class start time. We are not able to allow late admittance, even for legitimate reasons like traffic.
  • No cell phones in the studio please.
  • Please do not bring valuables to the studio. Do not leave valuables in the common areas or locker room, including keys. Bring keys into the studio with you. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Please be respectful of others by tidying up your practice area after class.

General policies:

All class passes, unlimited months and autorenew monthly memberships are to be used by one student only and may not be shared. All classes, class passes and unlimited membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Workshops and special classes are not included in unlimited memberships. Class and membership fees may increase each year. $39 New Student Special may not be extended for any reason, including medical. Please see our membership policies below for suspension/termination policies and/or membership early termination options.

Currency exchange: Twist Yoga accepts Visa, Master Card and Discover credit cards for services and products. For security reasons, we are a cashless studio and do not accept cash. Checks accepted with prior approval.

Lost and found: All belongings left behind will be placed in the lost and found bin and removed from the studio on the last day of each month. Items may be picked up from the lost and found during our lobby hours, 15 minutes prior to each class on the published schedule. We cannot be responsible for the security and safety of items left behind or lost/stolen during class. Please do not bring valuables to the studio.

Discounted class pass bundled packages & expiration dates:

We are able to offer discounted class tuition if a student wishes to pre-purchase bundles of classes for use within a specific time frame. We offer 5 ($17 per class) and 10 ($15 per class) class pass bundles; discounted per-class pass packages expire after one year. Classes not used within their allotted time period will be lost. Classes in a pass bundle may not be shared or transferred. Please think carefully prior to purchasing bundles; if students think they will not be able to use the classes themselves, within the allotted time, the best option is to pay as you go ($20 drop in per class.)

Retail return policy

Twist Yoga accepts returns or exchanges for regularly priced merchandise within 14 days of purchase. To be eligible for return, merchandise must have tags attached and be unused, unworn and undamaged. All sales and discounted merchandise are final. Twist Yoga doesn’t accept returns or exchanges for merchandise damaged by ordinary wear and tear or damage caused by improper use, care or accidents. You must have a proof of purchase (store receipt, gift receipt, or member purchase history) for all returns and exchanges. All exchange orders are subject to product availability.

Twist Premier Membership: Monthly AutoRenew policies

Minimum Premier Membership is a contractual agreement with a minimum enrollment of 3 months. Early termination is possible, with a $99 cancellation fee.  $108 is charged to your card the same date every month for Premier Members. After 3 months, monthly membership dues will continue to charge until you notify us of membership termination.  To terminate (cancel) your Premier Membership, requests must be made in writing via email to hello@twistyogaedmonds.com at least 14 days prior to your next charge date.  We are not able to offer retroactive refunds for notices received after a monthly dues charge, regardless of usage or circumstance.  Please note all suspension or termination requests to your legally binding Premier Membership must be made in writing via email to hello@twistyogaedmonds.com in order to create a paper trail which protects you; We are not able to accommodate termination or suspension requests made in person at the front desk or over the phone.

Suspending or terminating Premier Memberships:

All unlimited monthly members (Premier, Founders Club & YFL Unlimited) are eligible for one, annual membership suspension (freeze) – for any reason – for a minimum of 2 weeks and maximum of 3 months.  A minimum of 14 days notice prior to suspension start is required, and start/end dates of suspension MUST be submitted in writing via email to hello@twistyogaedmonds.com .  We are not able to facilitate suspensions or issue refunds for suspensions requested retroactively.  To protect you and create a paper trail, please note we are not able to accommodate suspension requests made in person at the front desk or over the phone.

Membership suspensions are reserved for *unlimited* monthly memberships only.  Grandfathered YFL “Tier 1 or 2” memberships cannot be suspended.  However, Tier 1/2 members may upgrade to an unlimited Premier membership and enjoy suspension privileges.

To terminate (cancel) your Premier Membership after your 4 month contract, requests must be made in writing via email to hello@twistyogaedmonds.com at least 14 days prior to your next charge date.  We are not able to offer retroactive refunds for notices received after a monthly dues charge.  Members wishing to terminate their membership prior to 3 months may do so with a $99 early termination fee.  To protect you and create a paper trail, Please note we are not able to accommodate termination requests made in person at the front desk or over the phone.

Freezing or extending 5 or 10 class pass, 3/6/12 month unlimited expiration dates:

For 5 or 10 class passes, standard one-year expiration date may be adjusted only for medical issues that result in the inability to practice for longer than 7 days.  Three, six and 12 month unlimited pre-purchases follw the same policy.  It is the student’s responsibility to notify the studio at the time of injury or illness. We are unable to make adjustments to dates retroactively. A statement of injury or illness must be documented in writing by a physician before any adjustment to the membership is made.  Memberships and class packages may not be extended to accommodate non-use, vacation and/or travel dates.

Family/partner membership discounts:

Families who practice together, stay together!  Yes, we do offer family discounts, available on our Premier Membership only.  If one household member is a full-paying Premier Monthly Member, additional household residents receive 30% off in his/her Premier Monthly Membership. Please see a manager to set this up.  Terms: Must reside in the same residence.  Applies to all family relationships: spouses, partners, mother/daughter, etc. Cannot be combined with any other offer.  If primary member receives a discounted membership, then secondary member’s discount = 30% MINUS the primary discount. 

Schedule Changes

Twist Yoga reserves the right to cancel or change the date, teacher or time of any class, workshop, or retreat. We will do our best to notify participants in a timely manner if this occurs. Only on very rare occasions do we have to cancel classes or close the studio. Please always check the online schedule for the most up-to-date schedule. If workshops, retreats or trainings are cancelled, we offer full refunds. We do not offer refunds, account credit or extensions due to changes, cancellations, or teacher substitutions on our drop-in schedule. In the case of inclement weather and it is dangerous driving on the roads, please first check our online schedules for the most updated information.  Please check the online schedule for the most up-to-date schedule, including cancellations or studio closures.

Late cancel/no show penalty

You may cancel your reservation up to 2 hours before class begins with no penalty.  If you cancel your reservation –or simply do not show up – within a 2-hour window of the start of class, you will be charged a No Show/Late Cancel Fee of $20 per occurrence.  Our intention is to ensure equitable access with online reservations.
