Join us for this workshop, where we will address the musculature of the pelvic floor and several of its dysfunctions. Many women experience loss of muscle tone, function, and even awareness of this important part of the body.
This workshop will help bring recognition and enlightenment to the base of your pelvis. From a yoga perspective, this area of the body houses the Muladhara Chakra, a powerful energy center.
You will learn yoga techniques, including asana (yoga poses) and pranayama (breathing techniques) to awaken and strengthen these often neglected muscles. You will be given a sequence to practice at home as well as ways to integrate pelvic floor exercises into any yoga class you take. Benefits to a stronger base and deep core include improved balance and strength, less bladder incontinence, and enhanced sexuality.
