Location: Downtown Edmonds
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (yoga’s most foundational text) introduces us to the eight limbed path of the practice as a guide for a more meaningful life. Modern yoga focuses heavily on the third of the eight limbs: asana (the poses). Asana is a beautiful tool for physical awareness and awakening, but yoga has so much more depth!
In this workshop you’ll learn the history and theory behind Patanjali and his limbs as we look at them through a modern lens. As we break down each of the eight limbs individually you’ll discover how to easily incorporate them into your every day practice (and life). Expect to discover a sense of clarity, sharper focus, and a deeper feeling of embodiment on your mat.
Bring a pen to take some notes and come prepared for 45-60 minutes of slow contemplative practice.
