Let’s pause and honor the shortest day of the year as we begin to return toward the light. Solstice in Latin means “sun standing still”, so Winter Solstice will find us embracing the stillness that falls between the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next. We’ll welcome the direction of the North and the element of Earth, symbolizing grounding and abundance. This is a time of rest, hibernation, internal reflection, and intention-setting for the year to come.
Through this 2-hour yoga ceremony, you will be given the opportunity to connect with the seasonal shift happening both outside and within you. The workshop will include contemplative practices, guided inquiry and journal prompts, and breathwork, followed by a slow-flowing practice focused on grounding and connecting into the Earth. The practice will conclude with an extended savasana accompanied by sound.
